Brittany Maynard ended her own life on Saturday November 1, 2014. She was diagnosed with brain cancer (a stage 4 glioblastoma) in spring and had decided to take her own life rather then she and her family having to endure the physical, mental and emotional anguish that would result from a lingering and painful death.
