by Amy Wilson

Look no further. One of the things we love most about teaching in the age of technology is the ability it gives educators to share innovation in the blogosphere and Twitterverse. Why Successful People Have So Many Groups Of Friends
fastcompany.com - While ideas may appear to be only in your head, it turns out they’re super social: Darwin talked about evolution for decades before publishing the Origin of Species. And while it might be you that gets the promotion, it’s your connections up, down, and across a company that predict performance. Why? Can an App Change How Students Prep for College Admissions?
Prepify is a free, cloud-based software program that offers lessons in how to take standardized college entrance exams like the SAT and ACT.
While there are similar programs already out there — most notably Number2and INeedAPencil — Prepify differentiates itself by adapting to students’ progress in real time. If someone taking a Prepify lesson gets a question correct, it will then show him or her a more a difficult question. But, if the test-taker gets something wrong, the user will be directed back to more remedial work.
Prepify, which is still in the development stage, has tested the program on about two dozen kids, with each averaging up to a 100-point improvement on each of the three segments of the SAT.
