Distance Learning is well known concept but still hasn't reached its full potential. This post explores what distance learning still has to offer us.
Stewart-Marshall's insight:
A clearly presented summary of some of the main events that shaped distance education over the years. Slightly inaccurate to describe the Open University UK as "primarily using radio and television to deliver content". I would suggest that in the learning process these were actually supplementary to the excellent print material and local tutorial system that the OU created.
Also a few missing, e.g., IGNOU as a "mega university", and Australia's "School of the Air" as a pioneer in the field.
